A Birthday Princess

The Birthday Girl!
Kinley is turning 3! Her official birthday isn't until Monday the 24th, but we had her party Thursday night. Her grandparents came and Aunt Brie and Uncle Cam and Melissa. It was a Disney Princess birthday and she wore her Snow White Dress (as did Ralphie)! When everyone arrived she had to twirl in her dress and "become a princess" as she said. Then it was presents!! She couldn't wait for this part! And THANK YOU to everyone, spoiled again!

She was so excited to get the Seven Dwarves she laughed and laughed.

Then it was cake time. (And no I did not make the cake this year, thank you Albertsons!)

NKOTB!!

So I am proud to admit that I went to the New Kids on the Block concert Saturday night. I felt like I was 13 again! I went with my sister and we had the time of our lives!! Holy Cow, I think that was THE funnest concert I have ever been to. We were obsessed with them when we were young, but never made it to their concert. We weren't about to let this opportunity pass us by. I haven't danced around like that since college. I was even a little sore Sunday. Jumping around for 2 hours was a real workout! I was suprised I had a voice left, even though my hearing wasn't quite right for a few hours after. I truly felt like a teenager again, and I even remembered the words to all of their songs! It was so fun to see all the fans were our age and some even had the old t-shirts on. I, unfortunately, couldn't find mine. The guys still can dance at age 40! Adam made fun of me tirelessly, but it was so worth it!

It was so fun to be 13 again! You better believe if they come back Brie and I are there!

One Happy Little Girl!

For my birthday we decided to take Kinley to Disney on Ice. The perfect birthday evening, my daughter having the time of her life! She was so excited. On the drive down she kept asking "are we there yet?" I let her wear her Snow White dress and of course Ralphie had a matching dress too. We met Adam downtown and rode Trax to the Arena. As soon as Mickey and the Gang appeared she didn't blink for the rest of the night. I have to say I am a sappy mom, I cried when I saw how excited she was. It was the best birthday gift of all! Then we came home and had cheesecake and presents!

Kinley loved the fireworks!

I hope Adam enjoyed it because I think this will become an annual event!

Not MY Daughter!

Kinley is an angel. By that I mean I never have to worry about her getting into trouble. I can leave her to watch cartoons while I shower or get things done. Never has she done anything to make me think she needs supervision. My mom keeps telling me this will change and one day I will find her causing trouble. Well that day has come. . .

I was working on the computer and she was watching Peter Pan. I went to check on her to make sure everything was okay and this is what I found.

She needed a piece of tape for something and so she got the painters tape out of the kitchen drawer and tried to get a piece by herself. I think she wasted about half the roll. But if this is the worst it gets, I can handle it!! All I could do was laugh. Miss Independant!

Speaking of which she had learned how to undo the buttons on her flannel pajamas. So now she gets a kick out of sneaking down the hall, undressing to her diaper and running out thinking she is so sneaky. Last night we tucked Kinley into bed and let her fall asleep. When we were on our way to bed we checked on her and this is what we found.

She apparently got up, undressed, and got back into bed. What a little sneak! At least she has picked up my clean habits and had put her pajamas neatly back in the drawer. We redressed her and she didn't even open her eyes! She is starting to keep me on my toes, and I am a little afraid of what she will try next! But I am LOVING IT!! At least she makes me laugh every single day!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Halloween was great this year! Kinley couldn't wait to put on her dress and start trick-or-treating. During the day we went to visit all the Grandparent's to show off the cuteness that is Miss Kinley. Her pumpkin bag was full before she even started the evening events. Her Grandparent's gave her so much candy that I don't even know if they had enough for the neighbor kids that night. She had a blast and, lucky me, she is into sharing!!
