Only Two Official Days Left

Summer is soon coming to an end and I am sad to see it go, but I am looking forward to a fun filled fall and winter. So to end our summer recap I thought I would post pictures from our trip to Bryce Canyon. I think I say this every year, but this was my favorite trip to Bryce yet. Kinley was so much more into it. When we got there and got the tents all set up she wanted to stay in them for the rest of the trip. She absolutely loved the idea of being in a tent. So we called her the tent caper. If she noticed someone was missing she would hunt you down in your tent and invite herself right in. Everyone was a good sport about having a little visitor all the time!

The first night we roasted hot dogs and enjoyed time by the campfire while roasting marshmallows!
The next day we went down to Ruby's Inn and just played around for hours. We of course have to get the yummy ice cream and Kinley insisted on getting pink because it matched her shirt. Such a girl!
Then the next day we went to the waterfall and Moss Cave. This has become a favorite of ours and it is a must visit every year. It is so refreshing to play in the water and go for a little hike. We were so lucky this time because when we got to the waterfall we had the whole place to ourselves!
Three studly men in my life!
Our funny faces!
One morning we took Kinley to the lake to go fishing. Adam insisted on buying her her very own fishing pole this year, but at least we got pink! This was probably Adam's favorite time because he got to share one of his favorite hobbies with his little girl, who absolutely loved it. And when she caught her first fish Adam was so excited. We ended up catching four that morning, which is a lot for that lake!
There is an awesome animal museum down there that we have frequented the past few years. This time they had deer that you could feed. Kinley thought that was pretty fun when they ate right our of her hand.

We had a WONDERFUL time in Bryce Canyon this year and I know it will just get more fun as Kinley gets older. It is a great yearly vacation we get to enjoy with my family that has been going on for about 20 years.

Can't wait until August 2009 to do it all over again!

Summertime Fun

So more about our summer. . .

We had a really fun 4th of July. We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Sheldon's house for a BBQ and fireworks. Grandpa does a really good firework display and I think he was really excited to show it to Kinley this year. But I think her favorite part was the sparklers!!

We were fortunate enough to be able to use Nana's swimming pool all summer before the house was to be sold. So we took full advantage of that! Kinley and I went swimming about once a week for the whole summer. Grandma and Aunt Brienne also came with us often. Kinley got super comfortable in the water this year and was asking all week when it was time to go swimming again.

Definitely swimming lessons next summer! We will be sad that we won't be able to use Nana's pool next year. There are lots of family memories there growing up. I am just glad I got to create some with my daughter before we had to say goodbye.

Ready to Rock

Our little rocker was getting in on the guitar action the other night. Adam and I went to play Guitar Hero, but Kinley beat me to my guitar. She strapped it on and said "Are you ready to rock?" Adam of coursed loved having a little protogee and taught her how to use the whammy bar and the pretend wha peddle. She's a natural...

Getting instructions from Daddy
Just look at that concentration!

Fun at the Gateway

Last Friday Kinley and I went with Grandma Sheldon to the Gateway. We rode Trax which Kinley loved and had the funnest day. We ate lunch where Kinley got to play on all the toys.

Then after lunch we went to Build-A-Bear where Grandma let Kinley get something special. She was so excited and overwhelmed with all of her choices. She finally settled on a monkey.

She had to kiss the heart before putting it inside the Monkey.

Then she had to step on the peddle to stuff him. She wasn't too sure about all the noise it made.

Then after the monkey was all stuffed she had to give it a bath. This part she really liked. She said it was dirty and she had to clean it good.

Then after she finally settled on an outfit, which took a little while with so many choices, she sat at the computer to give her monkey a name...ROXY!

Kinley with her new monkey, Roxy who she sleeps with every night now.

Thanks Grandma for a really fun day!

Happy Grandparent's Day

I just wanted to let all of our Grandparents know that we love them! We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.

Kinley is so lucky to have THE best Grandparents of all time! Thank you for all you do for her. You spoil her rotten and she is wrapped around your fingers, just like it should be! We love you.

California Trip - Part 4 (M&M World)

After a fun filled week in California it was time to head home. We decided to stop in Vegas and go to M&M World. I really wanted to go and we were supposed to go on our way out of town to Cali, but that didn't happen. For the chocolate lover that I am, M&M World was heaven!

Kinley had a blast there too. She got to fill a bag of M&M's with any colors that she choose. The bag was filled with many interesting colors!

After we filled out bag of M&M's we played with all of their stuff!

And posed by the M&M guys!

All in all, it turned out to be the perfect family vacation with a few bumps in the road along the way. Kinley still talks about staying in a hotel and going on a trip. So I guess she wasn't scarred for life.
